Lift Equipment Technical Support Representative

The Lift Equipment Technical Support Representative is responsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing problems with equipment, providing repair and maintenance advice, and answering technical questions about the operation and use of the equipment. The job may also involve working closely with technical writer and manufacture’s support representatives to develop support documentation and manuals and improve existing ones, as well as training customers on the proper use of equipment. Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems and experience in the field is typically required for this role.

Overall, the Lift Technical Support Representative plays a crucial role in providing high-quality technical support to customers and ensuring the smooth operation of their Lift equipment. This position requires strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities - Lift Equipment:

- Respond to customer inquiries and complaints regarding Lift equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot Lift equipment problems
- Provide repair and maintenance recommendations to customers
- Remotely assist customers with the setup of new Lift equipment
- Assess and provide support to the warranty claims teams
- Provide quotes for replacement parts
- Guide endusers to repair service providers of Lift equipment
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and technical support provided
- Work closely with other team members to ensure customer satisfaction and timely resolution of issues
- Maintain a thorough understanding of Lift equipment, including different models and their features and capabilities
- Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to Lift equipment
- Work closely with the sales team to provide technical support and assistance with product demonstrations and customer inquiries
- Assist with the development and implementation of technical support training programs for new team members
- Participate in continuous learning and professional development opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge

Key Responsibilities - Lift Tables (hydraulics):

- Responding to customer inquiries and providing guidance and advice on the use of hydraulic systems
- Identifying and resolving technical issues with equipment, using technical manuals and bulletins
- Assisting with the development and testing of new products and systems, and providing feedback on design and functionality
- Collaborating with other teams, such as sales and engineering, to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues
- Providing training to customers and internal teams on the operation and maintenance of hydraulic equipment and systems
- Maintaining detailed records of customer interactions and technical support activities.

Qualifications:

- Experience working with Lift equipment or other heavy machinery
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of technical support processes and procedures
- Technical degree or certification in a related field is a plus
- Strong knowledge of Lift equipment / Hydraulic systems operation and maintenance
- Experience with computer systems and technical software
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Familiarity with industry safety standards and regulations
