Ye Olde Squire is a small, locally owned pub with a team who feels like family and regulars we adore. At the Squire we cook fresh food made from scratch. A mix of weekday, evening and weekend shifts are available and we're closed on most Holidays.

**Job Description: Manager**

**REPORTS TO**:General Manager/Owner

**Summary**

The Manager of the Squire is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, bar, and dining room under the direction of the General Manager/owner. This includes conducting the affairs of the business regarding the dining room, attending to GUESTS needs, the staffing and scheduling, food quality and guest satisfaction. As the guest facing manager and staff liaison, the front of the house team and the ongoing training, supervision, and development of the team is of the utmost importance.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

**The managers focus will be on maintaining three priorities**:
**1. Health and safety of all guests.**

**2. Operating the Squire to systems and standards as set by the owner.**

**3. Ensuring Operational profitability in all decisions and adhering and contributing to the reputation of the Squire and its staff and management in Welland and surrounding areas.**
- The Manager will be responsible to the owner for ensuring that all guests are served in accordance with the owner’s direction.
- She will ensure that all products are properly prepared coming out of the kitchen and bar and ensuring all the team are adhering to operating costs and controlling waste.
- The Manager will ensure that there is always adequate coverage in the dining room and will further ensure that all service procedures are followed in accordance with the owner’s specifications.
- The cleanliness of the dining room will be a top priority and she will ensure that all checklists and cleaning schedules are followed.
- The Manager will ensure that all service staff are properly trained and will continually strive to upgrade the quality of service in the restaurant.
- Follow up on guest concerns, guest recovery and focusing on regulars, celebrating special events and creating unique experiences as only the Squire can do.
- Conduct self in the same manner as owner, taking pride, care, and responsibility in all actions.

**In House Promotions**
- The Manager will work closely with Cheryl, implementing and following up on all in house promotions. Suggest any other areas of opportunity for marketing and sales.

**Other Duties**
- The Manager will remain alert and interested in the food service, the industry, keeping interest in what’s happening in Welland and local area, noting events that may affect adequate staffing.
- The Manager will perform other such related tasks that may be deemed necessary by the owner. Especially in GM/owner absence.
- The Front of house team will be of the utmost importance under the direction of the manager, assisting in reviews, direction, celebrations, and training. Continuing to develop all team to continually strive to provide amazing service.
- **Minimum 3 years experience required.**

**Salary**: $48,000.00-$52,000.00 per year

- 10 hour shift

- Weekends as needed
