WHAT WE OFFER
- 35-hour workweek schedule (possible flexible work options i.e., 4-day work week (position based)

ABOUT THE ROLE

WHAT YOU’LL DO / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the bookings and calendars for the SOCAN houses
- Manage various aspects of advance requests from members
- Research writers, producers, composers, artists, and bands appearing at music conferences for recruitment opportunities through various research methods
- Lead “online” recruitment research of blogs/vlogs, YouTube, Soundcloud, and other sources of metrics
- Support the SOCAN 101 sessions, by moderating the chat and Q and A during the presentation, fielding the new recruits from sign up and any follow up
- Manage all in-bound member requests for change of membership status by logging the information in our case management system and routing to appropriate Creative Executive
- Work directly with members on recruitment and retention matters as assigned by supervisor
- Prepare reports on recruitment and retention statistics for the Director, Creative
- Research weekly song charts to support various recruitment and retention efforts
- Assist in the creation, maintenance and management of invitation lists for SOCAN events
- Assist with planning and execution of SOCAN Awards, member receptions, educational panels and song camps as required
- Attend conferences and events as needed for recruitment and retention of members
- Other duties as required

WHAT YOU WILL BRING / QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Education / Experience
- Post-Secondary education or equivalent industry/work experience

Skillset
- Excellent communication skills in English and French (oral and written)
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service
- Knowledge of music industry
- Basic knowledge of SOCAN
- Basic knowledge of handling Adobe Acrobat, image, graphics and audio files
- Basic knowledge of event invitation software and database management an asset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, creative environment
