**Position Description**:
As a Patient Information Clerk for As a Patient Information Clerk for The** Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology Department**, you will frequently be the first point of contact when patients and families arrive to the department. You will provide service in a customer-focused manner. You will facilitate the delivery of patient care by providing a high level of support and assistance to patient cluster staff and patients/families. You will also support the operation of the team/department by providing clerical and administrative functions in a proactive, organized manner.

**Here's What You'll Get To Do**
- Greet and provide assistance to patients and families
- Schedule and coordinate appointments
- Appointment reminders for families
- Organize and maintain patient charts, as well as electronic and paper information filing systems
- Maintain electronic calendar/schedules
- Prepare requisitions.
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Here's What You'll Need**
- Diploma from a recognized Medical Administration program or relate experience
- Medical Terminology certificate an asset
- Previous clerical experience in a hospital/medical environment an asset
- Experience with patient registration systems is required (EPIC is an asset)
- Basic proficiency with computers (i.e. MS office Suite, Outlook, MS Word)
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organization skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to be self-directed, to be flexible and to take initiative.
- Excellent attention to detail and efficient time management skills
- Strong customer service oriented
- A commitment to understanding and aiding in the pursuit of equity, diversity & inclusion
