The Office of the Clerk and Secretariat / Press Gallery Secretariat is currently looking to staff the Manager, Operational Services and Press Events position.

The Manager, Operational Services and Press Events is responsible for leading a team in the delivery of operational services directed to parliamentarians and the Canadian Parliamentary Press Gallery (CPPG). This role provides strategic leadership for proactive planning and development of the frameworks, plans, strategies, and priorities. The incumbent plays a critical role in the immediate planning and execution of press event delivery and management. This role is required to build strong relationships with various partners to ensure the seamless delivery of services as well as the completion of the Press Gallery’s mandate and objectives.

**Qualifications** Education**:

- Degree from a University, or a College diploma in communications and/or business and/or broadcast or audio-video service management OR an acceptable equivalent of education, training and experience.

**Experience**:

- Recent experience managing and leading an operational team focused on the delivery of services to media organizations;
- Experience in working with broadcast media on the provision of press events;
- Experience conducting consultations and liaising with various stakeholders in order to successfully deliver national events;
- Experience delivering on client expectations and adapting communication accordingly;
- Experience working under pressure and adapting quickly to various requests.
