**This role can be located in Ontario, Quebec or the Atlantic region Primary function:The Sr. District Mgr., Branch Network is responsible for providing leadership and expertise to drive profitable growth, ensure the highest levels of operational excellence and customer satisfaction within the District.This role drives execution of the strategies that support: profitable revenue growth through the storefronts, expertise and continuous improvement to support shipping and will call operations. This role is directly responsible for ensuring that all practices are in line with the overall standards of Grainger's Branch Network. This role is also responsible for safety, security, real estate plans for the Canada locations..This position has responsibility for numerous branches aligned to a shipping district, East and West and Large Contract Customers in Canada.Principle Duties & Responsibilities:Business Leadership Responsible for implementing Branch strategy at a district level within the branch network.Lead assigned branch lanagers in the implementation, monitoring, and measurement of core processes, safety, inventory accuracy, standard work, risk management and customer satisfactionLead assigned branch leaders in their understanding, implementation, and execution of performance and operational excellenceCollaborate across Sales, KeepStock, Supply Chain, and other key internal stakeholders to ensure operational excellence and exceeding customer expectationsDrive growth within the district with a robust revenue growth planProactively drives partnership opportunities with local sales and service leadership to support customer growth. Operational ExcellenceEnsure execution of all standard work: revenue goal is attained, operating metrics are met, safe and inclusive environmentWork with branch leaders to develop, document and implement market-based strategies including sales and marketing plan for growing counter and will-call sales volumeInspect and ensure branch leaders enforce flawless counter and will-call customer experienceInspect expectation of standard work across all aspects of branch operationsCollaborate with Internal Audit on compliance issues and process improvementsBuilds and fosters a strong continuous improvement culture within the district by challenging the status quo, making problems visible and promoting tools/ methodologies to identify and reduce waste to build standardization and operational excellence within the region Talent Management Recruit, select, develop, coach, train, and retain a diverse leadership teamDrive accountability of Branch leaders to ensure team member and operations are functioning at the set standards of the North American Branch Network.Works with senior leaders to identify annual performance goals and objectivesIdentify and develop future leaders and strong contributors through the use of Performance Excellence and succession planning processesCreates an environment where Leaders are engaged, empowered, enthusiastic, and committed to the

Preferred Education & Experience:7+ years in business and operational/customer service leadership experience in a multi-site environment.Demonstrated ability to create sales and marketing plansPost-Secondary Education Preferred Strong business and financial acumen including experience in being accountable for P&L results. Capable of understanding financial and economic conceptsContinuous Improvement mindset and the ability to teach process controlAbility to coach, lead, motivate, develop leaders and high-performance teams and inspire results through othersDemonstrates the ability to lead initiatives, manage large scale projects and execute change leadershipComfortable in operating in a matrix environmentAble to facilitate alignment and relationship maintenance of cross-functional groups; including
