**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
As an integral member of the Customer Service Department, working in conjunction with other department members, you will provide administration and support functions to all areas of the department including quality, production as well as assisting the sales group as required. Your primary functions will include disposition and administration of internal production rejections, processing claims and outside processing. You will also be assigned various other ancillary tasks as required which may include data analyses and reporting.

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Administration of production rejections and associated dispositions.
- Supporting Technical Service Coordinator with preparation and execution of mill claims as well as external customer claims.
- Setting up material inspection orders and documentation and reporting of results as required.
- Monitoring and assisting with ensuring quarantined material gets released in a timely manner.
- Handling all aspects of outside processor orders from RFQ to production posting and costing.
- Various aspects of resale and customer inventory including transfers, pick-ups and entry into our systems.
- Billing out and reconciling customer’s consigned inventory.
- Sourcing and entering steel mechanical and chemical data as required.
- Data analyses and reporting as required.
- Various ancillary tasks as required as well as back-up and vacation coverage of other department members as required.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:

- 3-5 years experience in an administrative role in a professional business environment is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- both oral and written
- Ability to adapt and learn internal program(s)
- Able to function and cope effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Attentive to detail and strong organizational skills
- Metallurgical and/or flat-rolled steel industry knowledge and experience is a definite asset.
- College or university education or equivalent experience is preferred.
