**Who we need**

We are looking for a **Human Resources Generalist** for a 6-9 month contract to play a critical role focused on return-to-work and workplace accommodations in a unionized environment. As our new HR Generalist, you will also support the HR team as needed across compensation, performance management, and HR administration.

**As our HR Generalist, you will**:

- _ Manage employee relations._ You will take ownership of processing and managing ongoing and new disability claims, return-to-work, accommodations and injury/illness reporting. You will advise and assist staff and leaders on interpretation and administration of organizational policies, procedures and programs..
- _ Collaborate. _You will Identify and implement training and professional development opportunities. You will work with managers to address performance issues and develop improvement plans.
- _ Participate in continuous improvement._ You will contribute to process and policy implementation and adoption and assist the Human Resource department with research and development of best practices.

- _ The technical skills. _You have proficiency with MS Office suite (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and have ideally worked with an HRIS.

You are a dedicated and flexible team player able to interact with team members and colleagues at all levels of the organization. You have a demonstrated ability to work in a respectful manner with groups from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
