The Office of the Registrar supports and celebrates student success. We provide students and the campus community with support through the distribution of key information, high-quality service delivery and the maintenance of essential systems and processes. Our dedicated staff work in a myriad of areas including Student Recruitment, Admissions, Academic Records, Convocation, Customer Service, Fees, Financial Aid, Registration & Course Scheduling, Reporting, Student Systems, and Transfer Services at both our North and Lakeshore campuses. **Position Title**: Student Recruitment Officer

**Status**: Appendix D Contract

**Hours**: 37.5hrs/wk

**What you will do**:
The Student Recruitment Officer is an integral member of Humber’s strategic enrollment team and is a significant contributor to shaping the public image of Humber. Using labour market trends, college enrollment patterns, government policy and market segment research, the incumbent implements recruitment initiatives and preadmissions advising for prospective students to ensure that Humber meets its enrollment and revenue targets by generating a strong applicant pool.

The incumbent also serves as the first point of contact for communicating clear and concise information about a broad range of program related questions to students, applicants, guidance counselors, parents, faculty and college administrators. The incumbent establishes and administers programming on and off campus to high schools, college and university fairs, community fairs as well as other recruitment events with various stakeholders by delivering impactful presentations to increase college awareness and our offerings. The incumbent meets with prospective students and families individually and in groups to deliver pre-admission advising either in-person, or via electronic media or telephone.

The incumbent delivers recruitment training workshops to Contract Recruiters and other staff, as required, regarding various recruitment duties, ensuring they are well equipped to represent the college in various forums.

This position also requires the ability to work evenings, weekends as well as occasional overnight travel throughout Ontario.

The incumbent will have a minimum of 2-years professional work experience in a public relations/marketing capacity. Understanding all levels of the provincial education systems, threats, trends and legislation at the ministry level is an asset along with research and evaluation skills. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite would be an asset. Prior knowledge on Humber policies, practices, programs, as well as Ministry guidelines and procedures will be a big asset.
