The Office of the Registrar supports and celebrates student success. We provide students and the campus community with support through the distribution of key information, high-quality service delivery and the maintenance of essential systems and processes. Our dedicated staff work in a myriad of areas including Student Recruitment, Admissions, Academic Records, Convocation, Customer Service, Fees, Financial Aid, Registration & Course Scheduling, Reporting, Student Systems, and Transfer Services at both our North and Lakeshore campuses. **Position Title**:Associate Registrar, Student Financial Services

**Status**: Full-Time Administration

**Hours**: 37.5 hours per week

**Salar**y**: (Hiring Range) $93,069 - $116,336

**What you will do**:
Under the direction of the Deputy Registrar, Academic Services, the Associate Registrar, Student Financial Services has direct responsibility for all administrative aspects related to student financials by ensuring that financial and administrative policies, processes, and controls are well designed, implemented, and followed. Utilizing a Strategic Enrolment Management framework and working closely with the Financial Services and Financial Planning departments, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring that the accounting treatment for all student financial activities are in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and/or other regulatory requirements as well as ensuring that all financial assistance programs available at the College follow all applicable federal and provincial rules and regulations.

The incumbent works to support the implementation of new policies and procedures and recommends improvements for the effectiveness and efficiency to support the student experience adhering to legislative guidelines for student fees, financial aid, and awards. The incumbent is also responsible for conducting strategic analysis to assess the status of current fees and financial aid programs, as well as launching new programs to meet the College’s needs where student financials are impacted.

**What you bring to the role**:
**Experience and Skills**:

- 5+ years of successful and progressive professional leadership experience in post-secondary education, including a minimum of 5 years in the student financial services function (specifically, student fees, and financial aid and awards) and in a leadership capacity.
- Extensive knowledge of educational structures and registrarial functions in a post-secondary institution and working knowledge of accounting and business practices and procedures, including, quality and audit controls, government regulations, compliance and customer service.
- Exceptional capabilities in ensuring compliance using generally accepted accounting principles, monitoring trends, reconciliation of student fees, financial aid and awards that support financial wellness and excellence at the post-secondary level.
- Knowledge of budget development and management, billing operations, collections, grants and loans with strong financial management skills and an understanding of the issues facing students as it relates to financial support services.
- Exceptional knowledge of, and experience with issues, emerging trends, and legislation affecting post-secondary institutions in areas of student fees, financial aid and awards.
- Experience with ministry reporting and audits within student financials and interpreting complex ministry policies and directives.
