**Summary**:
The Product Specialist is responsible for overseeing, managing, and presenting products delivered to mass market customer locations across the Maritimes. This role emphasizes increasing sales through effective merchandising of potted and fresh cut flowers and maintaining high standards in product quality and presentation. The Specialist will collaborate with store employees, handle customer service and clerical issues, and ensure excellent communication with the MacArthur's Sales Manager to support our valuable partners. The role requires extensive knowledge of plants, flowers, sales, transport, and logistics.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Regularly travel to mass market customer stores throughout the Maritimes to maintain MacArthur's high standards.
- Identify optimal locations within stores to position products appealingly to customers.
- Provide guidance on removing damaged, expired, or unsuitable products from display.

**Communication and Liaison**:

- Act as a liaison, promoting clear communication between mass market customer contacts and MacArthur's Sales department.
- Collaborate with stores on order quantities, product status upon receipt, and missing or needed items.
- Communicate quality control issues to MacArthur's Sales Manager.
- Advise MacArthur's Sales Manager of staff changes within floral departments and merchandising.

**Quality Assurance and Leadership**:

- Establish and maintain quality protocols for potted and cut products.
- Assist in quality assurance and address any product quality discrepancies with Sales and Production teams.

**Training and Support**:

- Schedule store visits and provide training/support to store merchandisers as needed.
- Assist with on-site issues as required.
- **Reporting and Analysis**:

- Track and report travel expenses.
- Attend new store openings as scheduled.
- Work with MacArthur's Sales team to optimize efficiencies from order to delivery.
- Prepare and monitor KPIs as set by MacArthur's.
- **Other Responsibilities**:

- Ensure floral holiday booking requirements are met.
- Work with stores to identify and address gaps in floral market sales.

**Experience & Qualifications**:

- Relevant post-secondary education (considered an asset).
- 3-5 years of merchandising experience or floral/landscaping design.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to meet timelines.
- Ability to load and unload products up to 25 lbs and stand for up to 10 hours.
- Positive, professional, and approachable demeanor.
- Proficiency in MS Office 365, specifically Outlook and Excel.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Solid understanding of OH&S and JOHS requirements in the workplace.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
