As an integral member of the Strategy team, the **Analyst, Strategy **is responsible for coordinating and supporting a variety of strategic projects and planning activities to advance Unity Health’s vision: _The best care experiences. Created together._

The successful applicant is a highly motivated, self-starter; one that is a strategic thinker with an interest in working at a system level and can tactfully manage stakeholder expectations.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Liaise with senior team members to support strategic planning
- Conduct environmental scans, SWOT analyses, stakeholder engagement, thematic analysis and drafting strategic plans.
- Support department-level strategic plans.
- Coordinate with executive leads to support strategy execution
- Set, collecting and report on strategy metrics to enable reporting/performance measurement.
- Develop briefing notes to report to the Executive Committee and the Governance and Nominations Committee of the Board.
- Provide project coordination support for select strategic initiatives such as Ontario Health Teams.
- Leverage strategic thinking skills and understanding of Canada’s healthcare system to develop business cases, perform options analyses and develop recommendations.
- Cultivate and build relationships with staff and executives at all levels of the organization to enable successful completion of deliverables.
- Communicate and promote Unity Health’s strategic plan to enhance organizational understanding amongst staff, students, volunteers and physicians.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure coordination of projects and information exchange.Support management of partnership relationships and agreements
- Monitor terms of agreements, flag for review of effectiveness, need for renewal, etc.
- Support engagement with community partners, liaise with impacted Unity Health departments, legal counsel and draft service agreements.
- Develop a suite of tools to facilitate beneficial partnerships.
- Support creation of a partnership management framework based on healthcare best practices and with engagement from community partners.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Graduate Degree in Health Administration, Business Administration or equivalent education program, preferred.
- Minimum three years of work experience, healthcare environment preferred.
- Working knowledge of strategic planning, project management, corporate communications, change management and stakeholder management.
- Basic project management skills.
- Experience supporting projects in a hospital/healthcare environment, preferred.
- Experience writing proposals and briefing notes.
- Well-developed ability to evaluate situations and make judgment calls on situations, such as timeliness of escalating issues.
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility and adapt to changing priorities and expectations.
- Ability to create clarity out of ambiguous situations and requirements independently and through consultation with knowledge experts.
- Builds and sustains strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.).
