Innovation Saskatchewan supports Saskatchewan’s research community and technology sector to create economic growth and diversity. As the central agency for the Government of Saskatchewan, Innovation Saskatchewan is responsible for implementing the province's innovation priorities and growing the technology sector. Innovation Saskatchewan develops policies and programs and conducts activities that assist in the implementation of research & development, science, and technology for the province. This includes development and operation of Saskatchewan’s research and technology parks in Saskatoon and Regina.

**Responsibilities**

We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager to join our Business Development team in Saskatoon. Reporting to the Senior Business Development Manager, this position will be responsible for the following:

- Identifying and connecting with potential tenants in the Saskatchewan innovation ecosystem and transitioning these leads through negotiations and the leasing process
- Cultivating relationships to attract new entities to the park while addressing the retention and expansion needs of existing companies
- Providing support to the Business Development team and contributing to the development and redevelopment of new and existing projects to meet ecosystem needs
- Coordinating leasing operations and preparing operational budgets, capital budgets and regular financial analysis / reporting

**What We Want from You**
- Excellent understanding of the commercial real estate market
- Experience in diverse property types, including office space, greenhouse space and data centers
- Ability to develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent understanding of leases, legal and contractual issues
- Ability to be a collaborative team player with good interpersonal skills who can also function independently with a high level of initiative
- Drive to be innovative and creative in your work and be a problem solver
- Ability to multitask, make timely decisions and maintain composure during high pressure situations
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
- 3-5 years of experience working in leasing or sales
- Strong computer skills and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience in Property Management Systems software (e.g., MRI, Yardi) preferred
- Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in Commerce or Business Administration preferred
- Certified Commercial Investment Member and/or Certified Leasing Officer and/or Certified Property Manager and/or Accredited Commercial Manager designation preferred
