Based in Haliburton, Ontario, SIRCH Community Services is committed to creating individual and community resilience. SIRCH is the sponsor of the Community Action Program for Children (CAPC) and Canada Prenatal Nutrition Program (CPNP) in Haliburton, City of Kawartha Lakes and Northumberland Counties. We provide peer support groups and parenting education for expectant women living in conditions of risk and families of children 0-6 facing challenges such as poverty, food insecurity, isolation and more.

SIRCH provides the Community Action Program in City of Kawartha Lakes and Haliburton County. We are looking for someone who will research and access, on behalf of our organization, resources that are free or low cost for our clients who have limited incomes:
Phase 1:
- **Research** what resources could be available in the 2 counties (ideally free) in the areas of food, clothing, self care products, scrapbooking, etc, as well as opportunities or events that could be accessed free (swimming, skating, music, transportation etc)
- Bring to the team for discussion and decisions.
Phase 2:
- **Approach** businesses or vendors to explain our programs and inquire if/how they can help
- Keep itemized and detailed accounts of interactions
- Present information to the team for approval
- **Organize** for a 4-6 month period
- **Evaluate**
These items will be used to offer to members of our mom’s groups or other groups that face issues such as poverty, unemployment, mental health issues and more.
Hours are somewhat flexible. Approximately 12 hrs/week for 6 months.
This can be a remote position, although there will be office meetings to attend in Haliburton.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
**Salary**: $23.00 per hour
