As a member of the Primary Health Care team and as directed by a medical or clinical professional, the Health Centre Assistant performs a variety of clinical and administrative duties related to the operation of the clinic, including organizing and prioritizing client care needs; participating in wellness promotion and Chronic Disease Management; maintaining health records and qualitative and quantitative analysis; client registrations; and arranging client procedure, treatment and specialist appointment bookings

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education, Training And Experience**:
Graduate of recognized Resident Care Attendant Certificate and Medical Office Administration Certificate programs. Two (2) years recent, related experience including one (1) year in a supervisory capacity, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Current Level C Basic Life Saving Certificate,.

**Skills And Abilities**:

- Ability to type at 60 wpm
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Knowledge of general office procedures and computer software tools.
- Ability to establish and maintain rapport with clients.
- Ability to observe and recognize changes in clients.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work.
