**Responsibilities will include**:

- HR administration including file maintenance, streamlining work processes, and preparing people-related data, reports, letters and contracts;
- Administering and managing the employee benefits program as well as employee holidays and time-off;
- Collaborating with Payroll to process employee status and payroll and tax changes (including changes in pay, position, and personal information);
- Providing guidance and creating programs/documentation/execution in the areas of performance management, organizational development, HR compliance, policy and procedure development, goal setting, ongoing feedback, and others as identified;
- Coordinating and scheduling performance reviews and assisting managers in the performance management process;
- Maintaining confidential employee records and documentation and managing employment agreements and contracts;
- Assisting in activities related to engagement and culture such as administering engagement surveys, developing and maintaining the rewards and recognition program and planning team building activities;
- Coordinating and acting as the primary liaison for WorkSafe BC, disability and leave of absence management, and return-to-work programs where required;
- Participating in the Health and Safety Committee as well as championing any safety initiatives that might be implemented;
- Other responsibilities as required.

**Requirements**:

- 3 - 5 years of proven HR experience in a small/medium-sized organization;
- Bachelor's degree/college diploma in human resources management required, or equivalent experience; CHRP designation is preferred;
- Working knowledge of WorkSafe Occupational Health & Safety;
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing;
- Familiar with Federal employment law;
- Ability to identify developmental needs of employees and to provide coaching, mentoring and other assistance;
- Strong morals and ethics, along with a commitment to staff privacy;
- Knowledge of principles, theories, and techniques related to job classification, job analysis, and job description;
- Able to work efficiently both as a part of a team and independently;
- Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines;
- A desire to learn by challenging yourself, reaching up and stretching your abilities, and strive for excellence;
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills;
- Able to prioritize, multi-task, and take initiative;
- Self-driven with a strong sense of urgency;
- Prior knowledge and experience providing full cycle recruitment.
