Wakefield Canada Inc. has an excellent opportunity for an **HR ASSISTANT, **a role we rely upon to support the daily operations of the HR/Payroll team. This role reports to the HR Manager and is integral to the success of our HR team.
**In this role you will be**:
- Providing support on all HR related projects, such as, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Wellness, Recognition, Training & Development, etc.
- Acting as a communication team player on various HR projects.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date human resources files, records and documentation.
- Keeping HR databases populated and up-to-date.
- Assisting with recruiting process by creating postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews and performing reference checks.
- Preparing various HR documentation including transfer letters, employment verification letters etc.
- Ensuring appropriate delegation, follow-up and resolution of inquiries and requests for information received by the HR team.
- Ensuring the team has all necessary documents in advance for all meetings and presentations.
- May assist with payroll functions.
**We’re looking for someone who**:
- Takes pride in keeping everything organized.
- Is able to avoid errors and omissions; strong attention to detail.
- Can juggle numerous tasks and complete them on time with little re-work.
- Can always communicate respectfully and professionally.
- Has 1-3 years HR/office experience.
- Has a university degree or college diploma in Human Resources.
**We would love it if you had (Ideal, but not a must)**:
- Payroll experience.
- Bilingual (French and English) languages.
