As the Executive Pastry Chef, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the vision for our pastry and baking programs, working alongside Executive Chef Jason Bangerter to create unique and terroir-inspired dishes that elevate our guests' dining experiences.
- Reports directly to the Executive Chef and General Manager. Works collaboratively with the other members of Langdon Hall’s management team._
- Manages the work of the Pastry Team._

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Design and execute innovative new dessert, pastry, and bread items that align with the hotel's culinary philosophy
- Oversee pastry operations for buffets, restaurants, special events, and catering parties
- Monitor and control inventories, food, and labor costs within allocated budgets
- Motivate and develop an effective team of 12-16 pastry and bakery cooks to achieve common goals
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to ensure high performance and efficiency
- Schedule team members, organize production, supervise, and communicate effectively with all employees
- Recruit, hire, and train new team members to exceed guest expectations and uphold hotel standards

**Minimum Knowledge & Skills Required**
- 3+ years of previous leadership experience in pastries
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills with a passion for food and hospitality
- Demonstrated leadership and time management abilities
- Diploma/Certification from a culinary institution is required
- Proficient in chocolate, pastries, baking, ice cream, and sugar work
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, multi-outlet environment
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team

**Work Conditions & Physical Requirements**
- Constant standing and walking throughout the shift.
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50+ lbs.
- Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps.

**Salary**: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
