Toronto, Canada Toronto Centre of Learning & Development Full time

The Centre of Learning & Development (CL&D) requires an experienced, knowledgeable, motivated and career-minded Project Coordinator.

**Why?**

Our organization is embarking on an initiative to adapt and re-imagine the delivery of programs and services as we focus on rebuilding and repurposing following the challenges brought on by COVID.

Working in collaboration with program staff and the Instructional Designer, the Project Coordinator will lead efforts to redesign CL&D's flagship program, the Immigrant Women's Integration Program (IWIP), focusing on delivering training and offering industry-recognized stackable credentials.

The program design will also draw on research conducted with immigrant job seekers and employers by IWIP trainees/graduates and a consulting team. We will integrate the current participatory program design model of IWIP with a workforce development & demand-driven one. Trainees will explore issues through community-based participatory research and collaborate with employers and immigrant populations to tackle systemic barriers.

As the Project Coordinator, you are the primary point person responsible for planning, executing, and delivering the initiatives described above, on time, within budget, and according to specifications. To achieve these important goals, you will define project requirements and scope, acquire project resources, and supervise the efforts of project team members. Efficient delivery of project deliverables, effective quality control, clear communication of expectations to stakeholders, and upward reporting to senior management are critical tasks that must be performed.

Key project activities include:

- Engaging employers to secure jobs and work placement opportunities for trainees and graduates and integrating wraparound supports
- Guiding the curriculum development and redesign of learning content for virtual, blended and in-person learning with the guidance of the Instructional Designer
- Creating a framework to support the micro-credentialing of workforce demand-driven courses with the guidance of the Instructional Designer
- Serving as the primary contact with the consulting team conducting a study to identify the gaps and barriers to developing more inclusive workplaces and use their findings to enhance IWIP training and program activities
- Piloting 3 to 5 demand-driven courses and working with consultants to implement an evaluation process
- Working with the Training & Employment Case-manager to place the initial group of graduates into jobs and providing follow-up and wraparound support

**Requirements**:

- Post-Secondary Education in business or related field of study.
- Three years of direct work experience in a related field.
- Project management certifications preferred.
- Demonstrated success in project delivery and execution of project management methods.
- Familiarity with project management software.
- Ability to assess corporate climate, socio-economic factors, trends, and other criteria to determine chances of project success.
- Intuitive grasp of organizational structure in order to manage cross-organizational and cross-disciplinary resource allocation.
- Highly effective negotiation, diplomatic, and conflict resolutions skills.
- Superb creation and facilitation of meetings, feedback sessions, and briefings in order to create consensus among stakeholders.
- Able to effectively communicate with all types of staff, including technical, professional, and upper management.
- Strong knowledge of financial management, technology management, and internal controls.
- Familiar with databases and operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of Internet technologies, including online learning platforms.
- Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
- Ability to create and edit project documents, materials, and presentations.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with business, corporate departments, key managers, and other stakeholders.
- Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines.
- Persuasive and motivating, with a strong focus on managing consultants.
