This position is responsible for the creation, installation and maintenance of all foreign system interfaces for the Clinical Information System. The Systems Interface Analyst performs work on new project installations, software system release upgrades and/or replacement interface software.

**Duties Include**:

- Acts as the primary contact for all matters related to Systems Interfacing;
- Assisting in the preparation of work plans including definition of tasks, task dependencies, estimates and resource requirements;
- Identifying all interfacing requirements within the Clinical Information System and creating interfaces according to specifications for systems or devices as required;
- Develops, installs, maintains and troubleshoots interfaces and develops, implements and maintains testing plans and documentation;
- Coordinates, with clients, the testing of interface functionality;
- Provide direction, support and consultative advice to clinical, change management, training & other specialist staff;
- Lead groups in technical processes related to Interfaces within the Clinical Information System environment, setting and clarifying objectives, encouraging innovation and change, and resolving conflicts relative to the Clinical Information System environment and related technologies;
- Assists in the development, implementation and monitoring of IS business plans; security, and communications, change management, quality and risk management policies and procedures;
- Performing other duties as required.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Must have a College Diploma or University Degree in Computer Science, Business Information Technology or related field;
- Experience working in a structured programming role would be an asset;
- Experience working in a team environment;
- Experience in facilitating, planning and implementing projects;
- Demonstrated equivalencies may be considered;
- A thorough knowledge of the principles, techniques and methodology required to define software development requirements;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Applicants must have a good previous work and attendance record;
- The successful applicant must provide a satisfactory Criminal Records Check prior to beginning employment.

**Please Note: Preference will be given to UPSE Civil employees per the UPSE Civil Collective Agreement.**
