Medical Assistant

**Responsibilities**:
- Assist healthcare professionals in examining and treating patients.
- Take detailed medical histories and record vital signs accurately.
- Prepare patients for medical examinations and procedures.
- Perform basic medical screening tests such as checking blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
- Assist physicians during medical procedures as needed.
- Administer medications under the direction of healthcare providers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and equipment.
- Handle administrative tasks including scheduling patient appointments for tests and procedures.
- Manage incoming and outgoing communications such as faxing medical documents and responding to patient inquiries.
- Ensure accurate and timely filing of medical records and patient information.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
- Adhere to all healthcare regulations and protocols.
**Requirements**:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; certification or diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
- Medical background is REQUIRED*
- IMG's will be considered for this position as well.
- Proven experience working in a medical facility or similar healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and knowledge of medical procedures.
- PROFICIENCY IN ENGLISH IS REQUIRED*
- Proficiency in other languages in not required but favored.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
- CPR certification may be required.
PLEASE NOTE THERE WILL BE A PROBATION PERIOD OF 3 MONTHS, AS WELL AS UNPAID TRAINING THAT WILL BE 2-3 WEEKS.
**Job Type**: Part-time
**Salary**: $16.77-$18.50 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
