IT Helpdesk Specialist

Full-time, 40 hours/week

In-Office and Remote

**Salary**: starting at $40K+ per year

Showcase is seeking an IT Helpdesk Specialist to provide level 1 technical support, maintain hardware, software, assist with IT projects, and other common IT-related responsibilities. This position is based in our Brampton head-office as well as working remotely from home in rotating shifts.

**Responsibilities**:

- Diagnose, research and resolve hardware, software and network issues.
- Prioritize issues based on urgency and escalate or redirect as needed.
- Maintain log of helpdesk interactions.
- Monitor systems and networks using real-time monitoring tools.
- Monitor and maintain IT-related hardware and supplies.
- Setup, configure and repair IT hardware such as PCs, printers, scanners, input devices, etc.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience in a level 1 technical support role.
- College diploma, University degree or relevant certifications in IT fields.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and written.
- Experience supporting desktop users in Windows 10.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and good attendance.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently.
- Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to approach problems pragmatically.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workloads based on urgency.
- Knowledge of common IT-related hardware at a minimum, such as PC port types, connection types, modems, routers, switches, etc.
- You will be required to have a suitable location in your home with internet access to be able to work from home as required.
- Reliable source of transportation.

Ideal Skills:

- Experience supporting point of sale systems and software in a retail environment is an asset.
- Experience supporting Google Workspace, Gmail, and Microsoft Outlook is an asset.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, Google Docs is an asset.
- Experience with VoIP phones is an asset.
- Experience in a customer service role is an asset.
