**OVERVIEW**:
- Reporting to the Senior Director of Franchising, the Franchise Training Manager is responsible for the overall learning strategy of the franchised operations_, _including projects, programs, workshops, resources, and development initiatives. This is both a strategic and tactical role. The Franchise Training Manager is crucial to the brand’s success by upholding the corporate standards in all franchise locations by creating excellent training resources, communicating them effectively to the field and following up with ongoing support after opening._
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Dvelop, implement and monitor training strategy
- Effectively teach and disseminate relevant information ONLY to the field
- Design and facilitate KINKA Academy programming for ongoing training
- Create learning aids, resources, standards, operating procedures and expectations of restaurant management and front-line roles
- Design and facilitate all soft-skills training including workshops, orientations, presentations, and meetings to further develop employee’s knowledge, skills, and commitment to the Brand
- Collaborate with Operations teams to ensure all programs and tools are effective and coherent
- Deploy all compliance related training including: Health & Safety, Harassment & Violence-free Workplace Training, Accessibility Training, WHMIS and any regional training as required
- Ensure all training updates and deployments are streamlined for all restaurants
- Lead new restaurant openings by following an opening training plan towards a successful opening
- Build new metrics and scorecards for restaurant management to objectively measure and continually report on the development progress of employee skills and knowledge
- Conduct Quarterly audits on all franchised locations, identify strengths and weaknesses in all areas of operations and work with franchisees on action plans to correct deficiencies
- Review guest feedback for individual restaurants develop training plans as required
- Initiate Management Development programs for continuous and ongoing leadership growth
- Identify and implement a Learning Management System (LMS) to support facilitated and wide-spread learning
- Implement an executive learning plan for Area Developers to give them indepth knowledge into running a Kinton Business and oversight of multiple locations.
- Manage, motivate and coach Training Team
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- 3+ years in Training & Development
- Hospitality and/or food & beverage operations experience
- Restaurant opening experience
- Post-Secondary Education preferably in business related field is an assetor equivalent proven and related work experience
- Able to travel to restaurants in market and offices as required
**Skills & Qualifications**
- Strong communication (written and spoken) skills in English (French is an asset)
- Must be able to facilitate workshops/presentations and meetings
- Proven history of coaching and training
- Proven history of successfully motivating and managing people
- Positive attitude and willingness to always push to be better
- Effective influencing skills
- Experience developing training manuals, job aids, standards and operating procedures
- High level of attention to detail
