**Position Summary**:
Inventory control clerks work in the warehouse. They collect data using a computerized system, which allows them to track various aspects of inventory. This data is used to calculate products and parts orders, to ensure that the proper amount of inventory is distributed at the right time.
**Essential Functions**:
- Supervise, plan, and oversee all inventory control activities within the organization or warehouse.
- Ensure proper receiving and storage of all warehouse items.
- Manage inventory to meet customer demands efficiently.
- Provide regular updates to management on stock flow.
- Compile inventory data for informed decision-making, including restocking needs.
- Offer recommendations to management and sales leaders.
- Provide accurate inventory information to customers.
- Review inventory balance and conduct stock counts.
- Investigate and address issues in the inventory system for improved business performance and customer satisfaction.
- Perform managerial duties, including staff retraining when necessary.
- Collaborate with management on implementing disciplinary actions for warehouse staff when needed.
**Knowledge / Skills / Abilities**:
- 2+ years of warehousing/ machine operating experience as well as wholesale distribution preferred.
- Familiarity with company products is advantageous.
- Adaptable to changing work conditions and quick problem-solving.
- Performs well under pressure, especially during shipment or inventory delays.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to comprehend written materials quickly.
- Efficient multitasking and problem resolution.
- Proficient in computer use, especially inventory-related software like Excel.
- Must be in good physical condition and enjoy manual work
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
**Equipment / Tools / Technology**:
- Must be able to operate a forklift or pallet jack and understand the basic functions of an RF handheld computer
