Sessions Cannabis - Key Lead P/T Position

Sessions Cannabis is seeking applicants for the role of Key Lead P/T at our stores in **Waterloo, Ontario**. We are looking for dedicated individuals who understand the nuances of cannabis and are eager to enter this busy industry.

As a Sessions Cannabis Key Lead, you will assist in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. As a team lead, you will deploy employees and delegate tasks to create a great experience for our customers by providing customer service with prompt service and quality products and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. You will be responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with Sessions guidelines. The ideal Sessions employee is compassionate, responsible and well-educated in cannabis. We are looking for individuals who can engage positively with their community and deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Sessions Cannabis
- Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the team
- Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers
- Communicates information to the manager so that the team can respond as necessary to create a great environment during each shift.
- Provides feedback to manager on employee performance during shift
- Contributes to a positive team environment by recognizing alarms or changes in employee morale and performance and communicating them to the manager.
- Create a positive learning environment by providing clear, specific, timely and respectful coaching and feedback to partners on shift to ensure operational success
- Follows all cash management and cash register procedures and ensures proper cash management practices are followed by all team members.
- Follows up with employees during the shift to ensure the delivery of great customer service for all customers.
- Assist with regular inventory audits
- Help receive, organize and merchandise cannabis products and accessories
- Monitor sales and inventory discrepancies
- Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
- Greet customers throughout the day in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Educate customers on cannabis products and how to safely consume cannabis
- Facilitate the sale of regulated cannabis by discussing cannabis products and engaging customers in a variety of cannabis accessories
- Maintain up to date knowledge of new trends and products in the industry
- Effectively utilize a cannabis compliant POS system and cash register
- Ensure the cleanliness of the store is maintained on a daily basis
- Check identification of customers who appear to be 25 years of age or under
- Abide by all company policies and procedures

**Qualifications**:

- 3-5 years of experience in a retail setting is preferred
- Valid Cannsell Cannabis Retail Certification
- A clean criminal background check from local authorities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be a team player
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills
- Availability for shift work any time between 8:30am to 11:30pm, Monday to Sunday
- Basic skills in math and proficiency as a cashier
- Extensive knowledge of cannabis products and accessories is an asset
- Personal connection to the community is an asset
- Must be 19 years of age or older

At Sessions Cannabis we offer competitive wages. The hourly wage for the position of Key Lead is $17 - $19 per hour. Hiring salary will be commensurate with experience.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
