As a member of the technical services department, reporting to the director, delivery, you will be responsible for managing and mentoring construction teams. You will assign personnel to projects, assisting the teams in developing strategies for delivery, overseeing construction progress all while ensuring Cameco’s policies, practices and procedures are followed. You will work with project teams and various project managers to ensure that the construction strategy integrates with operations and other stakeholders. You will continue to strengthen relationships within industry, with northern contractors and local communities. Your focus on continual improvement will drive greater efficiencies, while ensuring lessons learned are incorporated into future construction activities.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, journeyperson trade ticket or technology diploma.
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered.
ASSETS:
- Eligible for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS). C.E.T., or R.E.T.
- PMP and WHIMS certification.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
