Temporary Stage Door Security Guard (Casual)

This position reports to the Facilities management team and is part of the Facilities team. This position is a temporary coverage position for Stage Door Security Guard’s vacation and sick time and there is no guarantee of hours.

**Function**:
To monitor building security and respond to emergencies or urgent situations as required at the Stratford Festival buildings. This may include properties owned, leased or rented. To perform regular security tours of the building and grounds. Duties and responsibilities shall include but not be limited to the job description and within the Facilities Department.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Liaise with members of the public and internal staff
- Monitor and maintain security of all Stratford Festival buildings
- Complete communication logs
- Control parking and access to loading docks
- Shipping and receiving duties
- Lifting, bending, pushing and pulling boxes and packages
- Performing maintenance duties - Cleaning, room setup etc.
- Follow process and procedures related to Fire system monitoring and reporting
- Facilities Vehicle inspections
- Perform duties within Maintenance job classification as needed

**Key Qualifications**:

- Possess a valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Bondable with a valid Ontario Driver’s License
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job (regular light to moderate lifting and carrying, plus heavy lifting (up to 50lbs) and extended periods of walking)
- Possess a valid First Aid/CPR/AED Level C certificate
- Experience in security building patrols, security software and general security practice
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong computer skills - Microsoft Office

**Job Type**: Temporary Casual
**Hourly Rate**: Currently $29.79
