We are looking for an individual who has excellent communication skills, an adaptable personality, and openness to feedback. likes to work hard and can adapt to a fast-paced environment in our peak season. We are looking for someone who can work independently as well as be able to take direction from co-workers and supervisors efficiently. This contract position is until December 24, 2024. Hours worked are 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. **Individuals must be available on weekends.**
**Responsibilities**
- **Order Processing**: Accurately input and process a high volume of customer orders into the system, ensuring timely and efficient fulfillment.
- **Data Entry**: Enter data into multiple spreadsheets, maintaining the integrity and accuracy of all records.
- **Labeling and Documentation**: Create and attach shipping labels and necessary documentation for all outgoing orders to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- **Order Ticket Sorting**: Sort order tickets into their corresponding folders to streamline processing and facilitate easy access for order fulfillment.
- **Data Management**: Maintain accurate records of orders processed, shipping details, and any issues encountered for reporting and analysis.
- **Communication**: Maintain clear and effective communication with the warehouse manager, program coordinator, and other relevant departments to coordinate order fulfillment and resolve shipping issues.
- **Issue Resolution**: Identify and escalate any issues or discrepancies in orders promptly, working collaboratively to implement effective solutions.
- **Packing Assistance**: Assist in packing orders during downtime to support overall shipping operations and ensure timely dispatch.
**Qualifications**
- Education: Enrolled in post-secondary education preferred.
- Experience: proven experience in order processing, shipping, or related role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order processing and documentation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to facilitate collaboration with team members and other departments.
- Ability to collaborate closely with colleague to efficiently sort and manage high volumes of orders as needed.
- Ability to lift and move packages, as well as stand for extended periods when necessary.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 2 months
Pay: $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
