For 61 years, the IHOP family restaurant chain has served our world-famous pancakes and a wide variety of breakfast, that are loved by people of all ages — offering an affordable, everyday dining experience with warm and friendly service.

**Summary**

Provide a level of hospitality and service that exceeds expectations by utilizing the restaurant service standards. Effectively provides menu information, takes guests’ orders, and provides excellent service.

**Specific Functions and Duties**:

- Delivers food and drinks to guests.
- Greet guests, answer questions, makes suggestions regarding food, drinks, and service.
- Interacts verbally with all guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere.
- Relays orders to the service bar and kitchen via the point-of-sale computerized register system.
- Observes guests and respond to any additional requests.
- Presents guest check to each table and accepts a form of payment. Makes the correct change and/or completes the proper charge card procedure.
- Participates in the clearing and resetting of dining room tables.
- Ability to wipe down tabletops, table legs, pick up debris off of the floor and wipe down booth seats in all areas of the restaurant.
- Mobility required during the entire shift.
- Working with team members to provide an exceptional guest experience.
- Communicating order details to the kitchen staff.
- Delivering food and beverages in a timely fashion.
- Delivering checks and collecting bill payments.

**Job Requirements**:

- Ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor during stressful and/or busy times.
- Multitasking, organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of industry standards on food storage and handling techniques is highly desirable.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
- Must showcase teamwork and communication skills.
- Must be able to handle money transactions responsibly.
- Reading, writing, basic math and verbal communication skills are required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $16.55-$17.50 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Weekends as needed
