**Position Summary**

Under the direction of the Director of the Jordan’s Principle Capacity Enhancement Centre, the incumbent is responsible for bridging the gap between clinical practices and policy development within the regional implementation of Jordan’s Principle. Also serving as a liaison between clinical teams and policymakers, ensuring that policies are effectively implemented and compliant with industry standards. It also includes analysis of healthcare policies and assessing their impact on clinical operations, and identifying changes or improvements that align with best practices and regulatory requirements that will assist in aligning and conceptualizing research to support the regional implementation of Jordan’s Principle and the First Nations Jordan’s Principle Equity Roundtable.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Serve as a liaison between clinical teams and policymakers to ensure effective implementation of policies aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Bridge the gap between clinical practices and policy development within the regional implementation of Jordan’s Principle.
- Analyze healthcare policies and assess their impact on clinical operations, identifying necessary changes or improvements.
- Facilitate the alignment and conceptualization of research to support the regional implementation of Jordan’s Principle and the First Nations Jordan’s Principle Equity Roundtable.
- Formulate policy options and recommendations for the reflection of AMC member First Nations.
- Environmental scanning and reports on regional and national issues and other processes relevant to policy implications for First Nations.
- Provide policy and strategy development support on all aspects of the implementation of Jordan’s Principle.
- Work with the various AMC networks with First Nations, First Nation organizations, non-government and government departments to access information and work together on a broad range of complex issues, which will impact on policy formulation and integration.
- Provide advice and support toward the evaluation of policy effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Leading or participating as a member of a committee, focus group, task force as appointed, or directed.
- Preparation of timely briefing notes, speaking notes, research reports, discussion papers and position papers.
- Work with and provide reports for the respective oversight, guidance and direction, including the AMC Women’s Council and the First Nation Advisory Table of the Jordan’s Principle Equity Roundtable. Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**

**Education & Experience**
- Master of Social Science or a related discipline and/or a related equivalent demonstrated experience.
- Knowledge of statistical methods, techniques, and information to develop analytical frameworks and/or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of First Nations/Indigenous research methods and procedures.
- Knowledge of First Nations, culture, history, treaty, and inherent rights.
- Demonstrated ability to provide analytical support while managing multiple projects, and deadlines.
- Experience presenting to AMC member First Nations on reserve.
- Excellent verbal, written, inter-personal communication.
- Knowledge of one of the five AMC-member First Nation languages an asset.
- Ability to provide analytical supports while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office software, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Be able to follow office practices, procedures, and confidentiality.
- Work flexible hours and travel upon request.
- Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.
- Must have a current satisfactory Criminal Record Check, and Clear Child Abuse Checks.
