**About the role**

We’re looking for a Unit Manager, Office Services, to join our growing team

**What you’ll do here**:
Facilities & Office Services
- Oversee workflows and take action to ensure performance (ie. Adjust timelines, solve problems)
- Supervise maintenance work and service delivery to ensure that the facility is fully operational
- Provide administrative leadership in managing people, infrastructure, and facilities
- Administer operational procedures to ensure that the department runs smoothly
- Plan and facilitate effective meetings
- Implement changes and new systems or programs within the department
- Liaison with I.T. for technology support (cabling, telephones etc.)
- Monitoring of phone statistics for reception to ensure optimal productivity and capacity.
- Maintain a can-do attitude when facing difficult situations or long projects involving different departments.

Evaluate performance
- Conduct performance reviews on a regular basis
- Deliver ongoing feedback and address performance issues
- Recognize training needs and ensure that staff gain needed skills
- Collaborate with staff members to create and implement development plans and role modifications
- Set, monitor and manage individual and team performance goals.
- Create strategies to better utilize staff and space
- Ensure continuity of the team through cross-training and succession planning
- Coaching, including providing feedback to direct reports on behaviours and competencies and on ways to improve and manage efficiency.

Monitor and Control departmental Budget
- Maintain Vendor relationships while staying within the allocated budget
- Complete Appropriate budgeting and financial reporting
- Effectively allocate available resources
- Approve payment of accounts payable in the Oracle Purchase System

**What you bring to the table**:

- University Degree or any equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 3 years of P&C insurance experience
- Previous management, supervising and leadership experience
- Can coach, motivate and develop administrative support clerks
- Strong customer service orientation
- Can thrive in a constantly changing environment
- No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
