We have been serving the oil industry since 1996; and we lead the way in service, with a focus on safety and environmental responsibility. We have offices located in Nisku and Mannville, AB - looking after all three of our divisions: Vac & Water, Rentals, and Heavy Equipment.

We are seeking someone with 5+ years’ experience, who can work with our fleet and ensure the company is compliant with all aspects of federal, provincial and municipal transportation safety legislation throughout the provinces we operate in - AB, BC & SK.

**Responsibilities**:

- Review submitted incident reports from a Transportation Safety perspective; outline and approve/determine follow-up/closure for occurrences based on trends and recommendations.
- As required, attend and investigate serious incidents; compile reports, take photos, and ensure paperwork gets distributed to the proper agencies.
- Work with Operations on a daily basis to ensure drivers in the field are adhering to company and legislative transportation safety policies and procedures.
- Liaise with Law Enforcement, Traffic / Scale D.O.T. enforcement, Insurance Companies, Permit, Registries, etc., and any other related work partners as required, based on needs/demands of the company.
- Attend and represent the company at transportation safety-related meetings.
- Administer CVSA Vehicle inspections.
- Develop concise Transportation Safety reports and statistics for audit purposes or customer inquiries.
- Review internal transportation safety audits on a regular basis; ensure audits are conforming to Bulldog standards. Communicate with drivers - including coaching, training, correcting, disciplining; regarding logs and pre-trips.
- Ensure all company equipment that falls under transportation safety legislation meets all requirements; including making checks of units in yard and on-site and reviewing permits, manuals, documentation, fire extinguishers, first aid kits, eye wash canisters, etc.
- For serious incidents, may physically attend and investigate, compile reports, take photos, and ensure paperwork gets distributed to the proper agencies.
- Perform all other tasks as assigned by senior management.

Qualifications:

- 5+ years’ experience in transportation safety
- Class 1 or 3 license is a strong asset but not required
- Clean drivers abstract (minimum class 5 with no restrictions or GDL)
- Ability to be on the road days at a time when needed
- Thorough knowledge of all permits required to operate within an oilfield service environment in AB, BC and SK
- Able to listen and help employees understand all areas of legislation, and to address concerns arising from the field
