Two 20 hours per week for 10 weeks positions for local youth between the ages of 15-29 opportunity to develop knowledge and skills in tourism product and community development.

Anticipated Term: June 24 - August 31, 2019. Hourly rate: $15.30/hr

Location: In person Pinawa CDC office, 24 Aberdeen Ave Pinawa

Reporting to: Executive Director and Administrative Assistant of the PCDC

**Requirements**:

- Good oral and written communication skills, the ability to read, write, and speak in English
- Familiarity with social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube
- Basic knowledge of spreadsheets and documents, in-depth knowledge of Google Suite, Canva, and Mailchimp are assets.

**Position 1 - Tourism Services Liason**

This employee will build skills in communication, customer service, office procedures, and social media communication. You will gain valuable training in scheduling, time management, community development, sustainability awareness, event planning, event evaluation, and organization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Distribute PCDC tourism marketing collateral and assets to operators and visitors.
- Taking photos and making records of community tourism events
- Coordinating communication between local tourism service operators and the PCDC
- Providing limited general office administration duties
- Gain training in scheduling, time management
- Gain training in event planning, evaluation and organization.

**Position 2 - Community Project Coordinator**

This employee would be tasked with providing coordination assistance to the Pinawa Heritage Museum Steering Committee and other approved PCDC community projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with planning and organization
- Build skills in project management and reporting
- Interpersonal and project communication
- Gain training in data collection, inventory and record keeping, budgeting, non-profit governance
- Project liaison, collaboration, interpersonal and project communication as directed.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 10 weeks

Pay: From $15.30 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week

Schedule:

- 4 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
