**PAYROLL AND ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT (FULL-TIME)**
**LOCATION: Kitchener, ON**:
KW Habilitation is a local not-for-profit organization that provides a wide range of individualized services and supports to children with any special need and adults with developmental disabilities. We support individuals to live a fulfilling life which is fostered through preschool and early learning supports, respite services, residential services, community participation, and employment supports.
The Payroll and Accounting Assistant is responsible for providing financial, administrative, payroll, and clerical services. The Payroll and Accounting Assistant also contributes to the efficient day-to-day operations of the KWH office, and supports the work of management, other staff, and the Board of Directors.

**Responsibilities**
- Providing financial and administrative services in order to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate financial and administrative operations.
- Portray a positive attitude and act as a role model to staff.
- Communicate responsibly, professionally, and objectively.
- Ensure that all services are provided within the context of KWH’s philosophy, policies, and procedures and that they are consistent with legislative requirements.
**Requirements**:
- Ontario Secondary School High School Diploma (or Equivalent).
- Post-Secondary Education in Administration.
- 5 years relevant experience in payroll & accounting support.
- Knowledge of mathematical calculations and bookkeeping procedures.
- Strong computer skills including demonstrated expertise using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and accounting programs such as ACCPAC.
- Strong organizational skills and detailed oriented.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, be adaptable and flexible.
**Schedule**: 40 hours per week, 9am-5pm (some flexibility required)
**Rate of Pay**: $20.87 - $23.19, includes benefits
**Start Date**: August 2023
