**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for the day to day processing and managing of all accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness as well as administrative functions. This is a vital role within our organization, as you will play a key part in maintaining financial records within the organizations by following policies and procedures and in accordance with all relevant legislation and regulations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Process accounts payable invoices and ensure accurate coding and entry into the system
- Review invoices for proper documentation and approval
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Prepare, process and distribute weekly check runs or electronic payments
- Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliation
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve any payment issues or inquiries
- Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and support

Other related duties that may arise in the course of business and be assigned by the Chief Financial Officer

**Requirements**:

- Experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role considered an asset
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to analyze financial information and identify discrepancies
- Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., Staff Schedule Care) is a plus
- Knowledge of payroll processes is a plus
- Current Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check, TB skin test and COVID-19 vaccination are required
