**Position Title**:Inside Sales Representative
**Team and Location**:Commercial - Calgary or Edmonton, AB
**Position Summary**:The Inside Sales Representative will be an integral part of the sales team, assisting with customer acquisition and initial contact, along with handling inbound leads and retention inquires. They will be responsible for promoting all of Parkland’s commercial products, inside sales, account administrative and customer support. Works closely with the Commercial outside sales teams, plus additional internal stakeholders as needed. This position will hunt commercial product opportunities, achieve sign-ups, and ensure a smooth transition to our offering for new customers.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Manage Sales Leads Inbox
- Assist New and Existing customers with Sales related inquiries.
- Set up new accounts.
- Handle pricing requests and adjustments
- Engage customers on opportunities for more business.
- Re-direct large/complex customers to Hunters/KAMs
- Re-direct non-sales related inquiries to CX team
- Proactively seeks out sales leads through data mining, online searches, competitive and industry intelligence and leads from Outside Sales team. Follows up on these leads and qualifies opportunities. Depending on size of opportunity may hand off to commercial outside sales team.
- For qualified opportunities within a pre-determined annual volume range works with customers and internal stakeholders to close sales (i.e. achieve sign up of net new accounts to the commercial business)
- Enters sales leads into SalesForce (Customer Relationship Management software) and updates with progress and provides reports as requested.
- Passes on leads over a pre-determined annual volume range to the Commercial Outside
- Sales team and supports them as needed to qualify opportunities and close sales.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- A motivated self -starter, with good organizational skills
- Industry experience in Transportation, Oil & Gas, Construction or Agriculture an asset
- Ability to establish effective professional relationships with customers and co-workers.
- Ability to cold call and generate sales opportunities.
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and time management skills
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to multi-task under tight deadlines
- Strong computer skills
- Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce) and PowerBI
- University degree an asset
- Previous sales experience an asset
