**About the role**
Canadian Blood Services is looking for a **temporary full-time Project Manager** to join our dynamic Enterprise Program and Project Management Office (ePMO)** **team.

**The Enterprise Program and Project Management Office** is responsible for supporting Canadian Blood Services by defining organization-wide minimum standards for portfolio, program, project and change management with a focus on corporate projects, multi-year planning; partners with divisional teams to deliver select corporate projects in the organization by directly managing and leading the planning and /or execution of those projects. In this role, you will be you will be responsible to plan, manage and implement assigned projects or aspects of complex projects according to established cost and time parameters. You will maintain quality standards and requirements, manage the budget, analyze risks and issues, and ensure continuous communication and reporting, as required.

**Formula for success**
- Leveraging your training and professional experience, you will manage and execute tasks for moderately complex projects, or components of a major, complex project, or where stakeholder management and change management are important.
- You will work with the project team, the ePMO team, other Canadian Blood Services staff and, if required, external resources to develop and maintain the necessary documentation to support execution. This includes planning, monitoring, and reporting and coordination to ensure appropriate governance frameworks.
- Drawing on your organizational skills, you will contribute to or be responsible to prepare moderately complex project documents or contribute to large, multi-year projects. This includes identifying and estimating project benefits, scope, approach, risks, resources requirements, timelines, regulatory requirements, costs, and funding.
- Utilizing your analytical skills, you will provide regular updates and reports for Business owners or other stakeholders. Particularly challenging issues may be elevated for discussion and resolution.
- Utilizing your strong leadership and interpersonal skills, you will motivate and coach team members for high performance and act with transparency, promoting a problem-solving mindset. You will have the ability to facilitate meetings and discussions; resolve conflict; and lead and/or collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. You will display an ability to build good relationships, to assign, coordinate and manage the project activities of team members.
- Leveraging your accountability and decision-making skills, you may be required to make decisions that can impact specific project deliverables, costs, and timelines, which may have moderate impact on other business areas. You will need to consider various perspectives and inter-related variables when making decisions.

**Desired education and skills**
- Completion of a bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or science or equivalent.
- You will have a minimum of 6 years of experience in managing complex projects with large teams and multiple stakeholders. Equivalent experience, demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and desire to enhance skills related to project management will be considered.
- Preferably you will be proficient in related software tools including Microsoft project professional, MSPO.
- Training and / or certification in project management such as PRINCE2, PMP, Agile Scrum Master, would be considered an asset.
- Experience managing new product or process introduction in a regulated environment, would be considered an asset.
- Experience managing and implementing process change within a unionized workforce environment, would be considered an asset.
