**Job Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Interpret policy wordings, determines policy coverage and ensure appropriate reserving.
- Investigate losses to determine liability by analyzing files.
- Evaluate relevant information from various sources.
- Negotiate with insureds, claimants, lawyers and insurers.
- Coordinate services with vendors and service providers.
- Adjust claim from inception to completion in a proactive manner.
- Provide ongoing technical advice and guidance to junior claims staff
- Maintain accurate records based on company standards and policies within the claims system.
- Remain up-to-date with the latest trends in the insurance industry.
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- 5+ years insurance adjusting experience and on the field.
- Experience on the field (asset).
- College/University degree is an asset.
- Good communication skills in French and English, both written and spoken
- Possess a Claims Adjuster Permit through the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF).
- Possess a Commercial Permit through the Autorité des marchés financiers AMF (asset).
- Working toward Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation (asset).
- Excellent investigative, analytical and negotiation skills..
- Highly proficient time management.
