The **AP/AR Administrative and Finance Clerk** will be responsible for the data entry of the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and bank reconciliations monthly, as well as coding of expenses, income, and capital assets as required. The **AP/AR Administrative and Financial Clerk** will uphold cash management and follow cash control policies; reconcile accounts; and find solutions to solve financial matters. This position will assist with the administration of approved grants and funder support, issuing of donor receipts, and maintaining donor databases and other administrative tasks to assist the Director of Finance and other departments as needed.

The **AP/AR Administrative and Finance Clerk** is responsible for:

- Cost verification of invoices and documents from suppliers;
- General Ledger account coding for income, expenses, and capital assets
- Following GST guidelines and procedures;
- Processing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable while adhering to policies, procedures, controls, and secure records management;
- Assisting with the completion of monthly bank reconciliations;
- Vault control management, including maintaining cash handling policies and procedures regarding Cash Float management;
- Assist in monthly reporting and grant reporting;
- Assist during yearly fiscal audits; and
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as necessary and assigned by the Director of Finance.

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma or Certificate in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field;
- Minimum two years’ experience of bookkeeping or accounting;
- Willing to complete a Criminal Record Check;
- Working knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or Not for Profit Organization standards (NFPO);
- Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including excel spreadsheets and QuickBooks Advanced Online software;
- Familiarity with Point-of-Sale back-end operations;
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills;
- Ability to prioritize deadlines and multi-task; and
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, creative environment that responds to the evolving and innovative needs of a leading theatre arts company.

This is a full-time, permanent position that generally follows a Monday-Friday schedule. However, it is reasonably expected that the AP/AR Administrative and Finance Clerk be available for the lead up, execution, and reconciliation of the Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival annually.
