**Summary**:
The Safety and Compliance Administrator is primarily responsible for managing administrative tasks related to safety programs and regulatory compliance within the organization. This role plays a key part in ensuring adherence to industry regulations and fostering a culture of safety among employees.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Audit and maintain accurate records and documentation related to safety and compliance activities, including driver qualifications, training records, vehicle inspections, and incident reports.
- Support compliance efforts by staying updated on federal, provincial, and local regulations pertaining to the trucking and transport of dangerous goods. Assist in interpreting regulations and implementing necessary procedures to ensure compliance.
- Generate reports on safety performance metrics, compliance status, and incident trends.
- Assist in the coordination of safety training sessions for drivers and other employees, including scheduling sessions, arranging training materials, and tracking attendance and completion of training requirements.
- Serve as a point of contact for safety-related inquiries and communications from internal stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and external auditors.
- Provide administrative assistance to the safety and compliance team, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, preparing presentations, and maintaining filing systems.
- Assist in preparing for internal and external audits and inspections by gathering necessary documentation, conducting internal reviews, and ensuring readiness for regulatory examinations.
- Assist in developing, updating, and disseminating safety policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Ensure that all safety and compliance records are maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Assist in the implementation of systems and processes to facilitate efficient recordkeeping and document retention.
- Participate in ongoing efforts to identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the safety and compliance function.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- High school diploma or GED; additional education or training in safety management, safety administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in administrative roles, preferably in a transportation or regulatory compliance environment.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to the trucking industry, such as DOT regulations and FMCSA guidelines.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping and documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
- Experience in Workhub a strong asset.
- Experience with trucking, transportation and logistics or other similar industries.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; attention to deadlines with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to provide and receive feedback for growth and continuous improvement.
- Fluent proficiency of the English language with excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently with mínimal supervision.
- Commitment to promoting a culture of safety and compliance throughout the organization.
- Professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Excellent customer service skills.

**Hours of Work Required to do the Job**:

- This is a full time, hourly position. The hours of this role may vary with the needs of the business. This role is expected to be available for the operational hours required to be successful.

**Physical Requirements**:

- This role takes place in an indoor office environment requiring extended use of a computer.
- This role requires sitting for long periods of time.
- This role may require working outdoors in all types of weather from time to time.
- This role may be required to participate in meetings and/or training sessions offsite or at customer locations from time to time.

**Travel Requirements**:

- This role may require occasional day-travel and rare overnight travel to customer sites if required (
