**Position Description**:
The Emergency Management and Systems Coordinator will be responsible for developing, delivering, and maintaining training and education to support the mandate of the Emergency Management portfolio. This includes but is not limited to emergency procedure, fire safety drills and exercises and Safety Data Systems.

**Rotation/Shifts**:
Days, 8 hour shifts.

**Basic Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in emergency management, education, or a related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Two (2) years experience in a health care environment.
- Some leadership experience required.
- Experience in developing and running exercise and drills.
- Experience, developing, policy, standard operating procedures, and safe work practice.
- Knowledge of adult learning theory and best practices in training and education.
- Knowledge of project management principle.
- Knowledge of quality improvement principle and methods.
- High degree of initiative.
- Strong team player with ability to assist in developing high performance team.
- Proven ability to be an effective change agent and to manage complex change processes effectively.
- Proven ability to respond to many simultaneous and competing demands.
- Excellent organizational skills,
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written.
- Excellent presentation skills;
- Eligible to work in Canada.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Exercise Design
- Experience in data base development.
- Experience working with audio-visual equipment.
- Experience coaching and/or training.
- Knowledge of collective agreements.
- Proficiency in English and French - oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
