**Job Overview**

The Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis is an integral member of the Finance Division. The role provides leadership and expertise to advance the organization in meeting its strategic and financial goals through the development and management of the centralized financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and management reporting frameworks.

As a critical leader, this position acts as a business partner, with a focus on business relationships both inside and outside of BC Assessment and plays an influential role in gaining insights to inform sound business decisions to ensure successful financial management and business outcomes.

**Key Accountabilities**
- The role leads the development and execution of the multi-year budget and forecast cycles in alignment with the organization's strategic and financial goals.
- Oversees the execution of financial strategies, reporting, and analysis to meet internal and external regulatory reporting requirements.
- Identifies and effectively communicates financial recommendations to Finance Senior Leadership, Executive Committee and Board of Directors regarding the organization's tax levy rate and revenues strategies to ensure appropriate funding is established for operating and capital expenditures.
- Manages and controls the design, development, and evaluation of BCA's financial planning and management information reporting framework and related information system to ensure alignment with BCA's strategic direction and resulting information is relevant, accurate and timely.
- Effectively collaborates and builds relationships with budget managers and internal stakeholders in each business unit of the organization.
- Manages financial strategies, models, and metrics to drive and optimize current and future business decisions; influences sound management decision making across the organization.
- Identifies and pursues continuous improvement opportunities, driving improvements in customer service levels, process efficiencies, and increases in productivity.
- Leads a team of financial analysts in the planning, development and implementation of the annual workplan for the Financial Planning and Analysis Department and coordinates resources in response to BCA's strategic direct and business priorities.

This position is excluded from the bargaining unit.

- **Compensation**: $108,500 - $132,550

**Qualifications**

**Education**
- University degree in business, finance, management or equivalent; and
- CPA designation and current membership in good standing with the CPA association.
