The Policing and Security Branch (PSB), within the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General, provides central oversight of policing, law enforcement and the security industry in BC, and develops and administers public safety initiatives dedicated to the protection of British Columbia people. Within PSB, the Finance and Administration Division is a fast paced and dynamic team that supports the different divisions within the branch by providing financial knowledge.

The Financial Management Analyst is responsible for providing support to senior staff and management in the planning, reporting, and analysis of financial information in the delivery of Ministry programs and services.

**Job Requirements**:

- A bachelor’s degree Financial Management or Accounting or higher, **PLUS** 1 years of related experience; **OR,**:

- A Business Administration diploma with an accounting option, **PLUS** 2 years of related experience; **OR,** An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.**Related experience must include all the following**:

- Progressive related financial experience, including financial reporting, revenue collection, contract management and accounts receivable management.Preference may be given to applicants with the following:

- Enrolled in the CPA program.
- A degree or diploma in business administration with an accounting focus or a related discipline.
- One (1) or more years of experience interpreting policy and/or legislation.
- Experience developing and monitoring financial forecasts.
- Experience developing and monitoring procurement processes and contract management.
