**Duties**:

- Prepare sushi dishes according to recipes and customer preferences
- Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used in sushi preparation
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate with suppliers to ensure adequate stock
- Follow all food handling and preparation procedures to maintain health and safety standards
- Uphold high standards of customer service and satisfaction

- Previous experience as a sushi chef or in a similar role within the food industry
- Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and ingredients
- Ability to handle and prepare raw fish safely and efficiently
- Excellent knife skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and quality
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: From $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week

- Cooking: 3 years (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Food Handler Certification (preferred)
- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

- Mission, BC V2V 0A5 (required)

Ability to Relocate:

- Mission, BC V2V 0A5: Relocate before starting work (required)
