**Job Summary**

**Main Duties/Responsibilities**
- Works with Assistant Manager, Marketing and Marketing Team to create, implement, and maintain marketing plans, programs, strategies, and campaigns.
- Create, develop, edit, and coordinate the development of graphic design material
- Produce high quality, heartfelt content, ensure all work and communications align with organization's standards.
- Generate multimedia assets through graphic design, photography, and videography for campaigns and projects
- Assist with writing website animal biographies
- Engage with the marketing team to brainstorm ideas for new and innovating marketing and fundraising initiatives
- Adjust/modify front-end website content and display
- Assist with the development of social media campaigns while considering current and planned promotional activities.
- Interpret data from digital channels, such as Google Analytics, Facebook Ad Manager, and Google Ads, to better improve reach and marketing strategies
- Assist with project coordination
- Attend, participate and promote on and off-site events as they relate to Toronto Humane Society activities and programs.
- Support the development, release, and management of content across Toronto Humane Society owned and paid channels.
- Support the marketing and communications team with day-to-day operation of the department
- Foster, promote, support and drive inclusion and influence others to promote, embrace and progress Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Toronto Humane Society.
- Be an active and engaged member of the Marketing team, ensuring to maintain a positive attitude and work ethic.
- Placing animal welfare first and foremost in daily tasks and working as an integral member of Toronto Humane Society team committed to achieving our organizational mission.
- Attend and participate in workshops, seminars, and in-service training to further education, skills, and training
- Foster, promote, support and drive inclusion and influence others to promote, embrace and progress Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at THS.
- Be aware of and work within the regulations of all Toronto Humane Society policies and protocols
- Work in compliance with the provisions of the OHSA and its regulations including understanding and adhering to the requirements of the Health and Safety Manual and any other rules and regulations established by Toronto Humane Society
- Other duties as required in the day-to-day operation of the organization

**Job Requirements**
- Degree or Diploma in marketing, digital marketing, or related field; and
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in a marketing role.
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essentials duties of the role.
- Strong experience in content creation (ideation, copywriting, editing and some video/design skills) and understand how to create engaging and relevant content for different digital channels with a consistent brand
- Understanding of graphic design principles and experience with video production and editing, working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
- Excellent computer skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), with the ability to adapt to new technology
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of online community platforms and best practices, with a passion for staying current on communications, social and content marketing trends,
- An understanding of community engagement and the importance of fostering an online community.
- Operational knowledge of Toronto Humane Society or other animal welfare organizations is an asset.
- An enthusiastic and energetic attitude to contribute to the marketing team.
- Independent, self-starter with the ability to prioritize, manage timelines and balance competing priorities
- Ability to balance attention to detail and speed to market while managing multiple projects
- Affection for animals, concern for their welfare, and strong knowledge of animal care would be an asset.
- Superior interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse environment.
- Organized with meticulous records maintenance skills
- Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
- Ability to effectively communicate in English both verbally and in writing
- Highly flexible with the ability to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment

**Work Conditions**
- Flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Operation of computer, phone, smart-phone, camera, and peripherals
- Interaction with the public, employees, volunteers, and management
- Working in a busy office environment with the ability to work from home
