**We're looking for a Clinical Director, Nursing & Quality to join our team**

The **Clinical Director, Nursing and Quality** offers clinical and strategic leadership for nursing within the organization and its nursing community of practice. This role provides clinical and administrative oversight for the Rapid Access Addiction Medicine (RAAM) team and the Mobile Health Clinic and supports the Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) Program. Additionally, this role will oversee and ensure the effectiveness of the organization’s quality improvement program.

**Status**: Permanent full-time, 37.5 hours per week

**Location**: This position is based out of 60 West Drive, Brampton. Although we operate within a hybrid workplace model, staff are required to have on-site and/or community presence as per program needs

**What You Will Do**:

- Monitor and lead nursing model of care at CMHA Peel Dufferin, including policy review and Nursing Community of Practice
- Evaluate nursing practices and ensure competency of nursing staff in accordance with accreditation standards of Practice, Ethical Standards, Legislated Regulated Health Professions Act, Patient Care, Hospital Standards and College of Nurses of Ontario
- Provide day to day leadership and supervision to a multi-disciplinary team of clinical program staff
- Manage nursing services for the Mobile Health Clinic
- Support IPAC and lead the development, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of CMHA’s IPAC Program; prepare action plan for gaps identified through surveillance / audit activities and facilitate corrective action as needed, including direct coaching and management of staff related to compliance gaps
- Coordinate and provide ongoing education to staff on the principles and practices of infection prevention and control and new emerging infectious diseases and organisms
- Support clinical placement of nursing students and facilitate learning needs of nursing students, in conjunction with their instructors or charge nurse
- Participate in the debrief, review and follow-up of critical incidents and medication errors and/or near misses involving nurses and nurse practitioners in collaboration with the agencies Service Risk Review Committee
- Ensure clinical records and program data are maintained in accordance with the standards of CMHA and College of Nurses of Ontario
- Ensure that necessary data related to the key quality indicators for nursing is available and collected for analysis
- Monitor yearly program budgets and utilize appropriate financial processes.
- Manage all aspects of people management including recruitment, orientation, coaching, mentoring, performance management and professional development for team Oversee the design and planning of quality improvement projects and initiatives including the identification of the most appropriate approaches to improvement.
