**Major Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Manager, Facility & Equipment Maintenance, the Program Supervisor Maintenance Reliability is responsible for coordinating and directing the development, implementation and management of complex maintenance optimization programs for all SWMS infrastructure. Provides insight into the industries best practices and ensures programs are implemented and sustained with current leading industry maintenance standards.
- Leads, facilitates and coordinates the design and implementation of optimized maintenance initiatives, work procedures and practices utilizing Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) fundamentals
- Oversees implementation of inventory management system into CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for the unit, develop and maintain processes in line with industry best practices.
- Supervises, motivates, and trains the unit’s staff, ensuring effective teamwork, high standards of work quality and organizational performance, continuous learning and encourages innovation in others
- Supervises the day to day operation of all assigned staff including the scheduling, assigning and reviewing of work. Authorizes and controls vacation and overtime requests. Monitors and evaluates staff performance, approves salary increments and recommends disciplinary action when necessary
- Facilitates with client groups to ensure maintenance requirements are balanced with industry best practices and divisional objectives and standards
- Consults with stakeholders to define the needs and expectations for the implementation of a standardized maintenance program through effective consultation with a variety of stakeholders including unionized staff
- Educates on the business rationalization (financial responsibility, legislative compliance, equipment reliability) for the maintenance program and standards.
- Educate staff regarding the impact of asset performance and use of CMMS
- Conducts feasibility studies, prepares detailed project plans, sets objectives and monitors performance to achieve approved time frames and technical requirements, leads unit to determine asset criticality and conducts risk analyses and assists with obtaining project approval
- Develops and maintains standards and maintenance management business processes/practices (and identifies information gaps and opportunities for greater efficiency)
- Provides leadership in researching, identifying, analyzing, implementing and supporting industry “best practices” approach for optimized maintenance

- Supervises software configuration work to ensure client requirements are obtained in a standardized, fully documented manner
- Recommends, monitors, and administers the annual budget for the assigned area, and ensures that the area expenditures are controlled and maintained within approved budget limitations
- Adheres to the principles of the recognized Plant Engineering and Maintenance Association of Canada (PEMAC) to develop program elements related to both maintenance practices standardization, performance objectives to promote and achieve targets.
- Implements project control systems, cost evaluation methodologies and performance evaluation criteria (key performance indicators) for all program deliverables
- Develops innovative solutions to complex challenges, troubleshoots the implementation process and manages expectations of stake holders
- Provides training to staff on CMMS
- Fosters and maintains cooperative working relationships within and external to the division
- Maintains an awareness of current trends, practices and directions in the business marketplace

**Key Qualifications**:

- Extensive Experience in a multi-facility maintenance environment using computerized maintenance management system programs. Expereince with Maximo would be an asset.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Office suite
- Extensive experience with PM (Preventative Maintenance), PdM (Predictive Maintenance) and CBM (Conditioned Based Monitoring) strategies.
- Considerable experience in implementing change management initiatives.
- Experience providing work direction, discipline and handling day to day labour relations issues, preferably in a unionized environment.
- Must possess a valid Province of Ontario Class "G" Driver'
