**Your Opportunity**:
The Academic Medicine and Health Services Program, at University of Alberta Hospital invites applicants for a Full-Time Administrative Support III - Referral Triage Entry Clerk. As a Referral Triage Entry Clerk, you will be responsible for the accessioning of incoming referrals into patient electronic medical record (EMR), tracking changes in referral status, and ensuring the efficient flow of new patient information into the clinical scheduling system. Other task asks include reviewing, and entry of confidential health information into the EMR, scanning medical documents, preparing and disseminating notifications to patients and referring providers about referral status, managing outgoing requests to physicians' pools for referral triage, and maintaining the referral database. This position also triages all incoming clinic faxes, redirecting them to appropriate recipients. Reporting directly to the Clinical Services Team Administrator (CSTA), the Referral Triage Entry Clerk can expect to work in a dynamic, collaborative and quality focused team. Key behaviors and skills required for this role are communication, time management, organization, critical thinking, initiative and problem-solving skills. Confidentiality and accuracy will be important when managing patient records. Lastly the successful Referral Triage Entry Clerk will work within a team environment to understand the purpose and goals of the team and have the ability to bring forward ideas to assist the team.

**Required Qualifications**:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

**Additional Required Qualifications**:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an administrative role within a healthcare organization. Training and experience working with electronic medical records such as Connect Care.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Preference will be given to those with previous experience as a referral triage entry. Familiarity with FOIP and the Health Information Act.
