The Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation is looking for the next star to join the organization. Reporting to the Director of Annual Programs and Fulfillment, the **Development Officer, Strategic Partnerships & Programs,** will be the primary staff member involved in the community-oriented fundraising and third-party events supporting the Lois Hole Hospital, and expand a portfolio of community donors for the Lois Hole Women's Society.

**As the Development Officer, Strategic Partnerships & Programs, your role will consist of**:

- Strategizing with Lois Hole Hospital Women's Society and community partners to host third-party fundraising events and initiatives
- Developing strategy to increase growth in monthly and leadership giving
- Attending and facilitating all Executive Steering Committee and Sub-Committee meetings
- Prospecting community partners, both individuals and businesses, for continued outreach
- Collaborating with the Stewardship team on donor experience programming support and sustaining an expanding donor portfolio
- Preparing and submitting financial and growth reports with partners/donors, including Executive Steering Committee and Alberta Blue Cross
- Managing operations tasks, including the facilitation of “What the Health” lectures and supporting sales/ticketing initiatives

**On your resume, we are looking for the following**:

- 3+ years' experience running volunteer programs in a fundraising capacity
- Post-secondary education in a related field or a combination of equivalent skills, training, and experience
- Extensive experience working with a wide variety of volunteers across different settings, including leadership and direct fundraising roles
- Knowledge of third-party fundraising and event planning best practices
- High level of understanding and experience with computer programs such as Microsoft Office and Outlook (Knowledge of Raisers' Edge is considered an asset)
- Must have a valid provincial driver's license and reliable transportation

- Strong understanding of donor-focused storytelling and third-party best practices in the non-profit sector
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team made up of other staff or volunteers
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently under strict timelines and complete work independently with mínimal supervision
- Familiarity using social media to engage donors and volunteers would be considered an asset
- Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and travel locally, as required
- Agreement to a Security Clearance Check and/or Vulnerable Sector Search prior to the start of their employment
