**Job Summary**
Janus Academy is seeking a passionate and dynamic Fundraising Associate to join our team. The Fundraising Associate will work alongside the Director to support the annual fundraising activities, while strengthening donor relationships through stewardship practices.

The Fundraising Associate is an integral part of a committed, hardworking, and small team. The Associate is a solid generalist in fundraising, donor stewardship, and communications with strong interpersonal and written skills. You must be creative, driven and comfortable with reaching out to donors and prospects and sharing our stories.

**Duties**
- Support all fundraising events and campaigns to achieve fundraising goals
- Connect with community members, solicit sponsorships and auction items, and provide other event support
- Attend events and act as a Brand Ambassador for Janus Academy
- Contribute to development of event marketing strategies and deliverables for fundraising collateral
- Ensure accurate donor information is recorded and updated in Donor Perfect, including donor interactions and stewardship actions
- Implementation of a Donor Recognition/Stewardship Matrix including issuing tax receipts, development, and distribution of stewardship materials.
- Writes strategic communications designed to acknowledge donors for their gifts in a way that is timely, personal, and meaningful.
- Contribute to all donor impact reports
- Engage and build relationships with staff, families and other stakeholders
- Research, identify and support corporate engagement opportunities such as third-party fundraising initiatives.

**Skills**
Qualifications include:

- Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Business Administration or Non-profit Management.
- At least two (2) years’ experience in a similar role with a non-profit organization
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, and independently manage multiple, diverse, and competing priorities while meeting deadlines
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with a high degree of professionalism
- Ability to effectively articulate mission, vision, and values of the organization to a wide range of constituents
- Ability to interact effectively with staff, families and volunteers at all levels of the organization
- Experience with online fundraising platforms, database management, and all common relevant software tools
- Must have strong organizational and time management skills, and high attention to detail and accuracy
- Must commit to maintaining confidentiality and discretion
- Must pass a Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week

Work Location: In person
